FFH Breaks Ground on Medical Office Building

Franklin Foundation Hospital held an official groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday, March 20 at 11:00 am to kick of the construction of its new medical office building that will be located next to the hospital. The ceremony included public officials, hospital administrators and board members, and representatives from the construction, architectural and design firms.

Hospital Administrator and CEO, Parker Templeton, said the design of the medical office facility "took patient and physician comments into mind so that we can create an environment that is centered around patient care activity". The building is over 13,000 square feet and will serve as medical offices for three physicians, Dr. Rebecca Accardo, Dr. Stephen McPherson, Dr. Donna Tesi as well as the FFH Wound Care Clinic upon completion in early 2014. The building will also have room to accommodate three additional physicians in the future.

"Franklin Foundation Hospital has had five solid years since moving into this new location," said Parker Templeton. "Our financial condition is very sound and we continue to do our very best to provide critical health care services to our community including those that don't have the ability to pay. We remain committed to providing healthcare services that meet and exceed the expectations of our patients and other customers in an environment of dignity and respect."
